Michael D. McNair, 59, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at his residence. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, during which he served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and attended Burnsville United Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed golf and fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Daniel and Bro. James Rich. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include L. W. Smith, Ryan Glover, Zach Glover, Richard Russo, Billy Glover, Jr., and Ernie McNair. Honorary Pallbearers include Neal Mars, Ricky Stone, Danny Inman, and Jackie Nix. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 daughter, Christy Wright and husband, Tim, of Burnsville, MS; 2 brothers, Harold McNair and Thomas McNair, both of Corinth, MS; 1 sister, Gail McNair Smith of Iuka, MS; and 4 grandchildren, Erica Melvin, Allie Hill, Derek Wright, and Kalee Wright. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie McNair Hill; and his parents, George and Rena McNair. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Cemetery Fund.
