Michael Mercer

Michael Christopher Mercer, age 46, of Winona, MN, died Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home.

Michael was born February 27, 1978, in Winona, the son of Kyle and Mary (Roberts) Mercer. He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1996. He was united in marriage to Tonya Barnes, and to this union one daughter was born, Cortess. The couple later divorced. Mike honorably served his country in the Minnesota States National Guard 11 Bravo Infantry. He worked as a CNC Machinist at Fastenal in Winona for many years. He was united in marriage to Darcie Serva in Winona, and the couple had one daughter, Madisyn, and he welcomed step-daughter Eryn into his family. Mike loved fishing on the river, and gaming. He recently purchased a jeep, and Mike and Darcie loved to go for drives around town. 

He is survived by his wife, Darcie; children: Cortess Mercer, Eryn Borger, and Madisyn Mercer; father, Kyle Mercer; grandfather, Floyd Mercer; brothers: Justin (Janell) Mercer, and their children: Mariska, and Makenzie; Eric (Rachel) Gorden Mercer, and their children: Max, Lucy, and Julia; in-laws, Jim and Kathy Serva; sister-in-law Karla (John) Patzner, and their children: Cameron, Rylan, and Aubrey.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Winona, MN from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
