Michael “Perk” Curtis Perkinson, 71, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his home. He was the son of the late John Al and Betty Barbour Perkinson. He was the husband of twenty-eight years to Lisa Kivett Perkinson who survives.
Perk was employed with Camera Corner for many years and later retired from ARMC. His expertise was in the field of electronics and video technologies. He was an avid Duke fan, enjoyed all types of music especially The Allman Brothers Band, playing golf, adult softball, fishing and going to the beach. Perk was a radio personality on Behind the Music with “Alan B & Mikey”. He adored his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
Survivors other than his wife, Lisa K. Perkinson of the home; his daughter, April Qualls and husband, Justin; his step daughter, Kristyn Lindley and husband, Austin and his step son, Dustin Saul and wife, Haley; his grandchildren, Hannah “Suggie”, Lainey, Lincoln, Declan, Berklynn, Emmie, Carter and Jackson; “brother”, Alan Brantley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a “brother”, George Heckman.
A celebration service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45am prior to the service and other times at the home.
