Mary Elizabeth Perkinson, 81, of South Chesterfield, VA went home to the Lord on January 23, 2026. She was the late daughter of Eva Davis. She was preceded in death by her son, William “Whimpy” Perkinson, brother, Bubba, and daughter-in-law Dee Perkinson.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Perkinson Sr., sister, Judy Jenkins, sons, Joseph Perkinson Jr., Ivan “Al” Perkinson, daughters, Joyce Sanford (Ray), Kathy Sadler (Ric), grandson, James “Boo” Perkinson (Jennifer), great-grandson, JJ Perkinson, great-granddaughter, Taylyn Perkinson, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia, 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
