Michael E. Moguel, born on May 1, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family on August 28, 2025, in North Royalton, Ohio. He was a man devoted to his family and lived a life filled with the things he cherished the most.
Michael was the son of John and Peggy (nee Shotwell) Moguel, and he leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife Brenda (nee Fedor) Moguel, as well as his sons, Ezra Moguel and Michael Moguel, II, fondly known as Mikey. He was a caring brother to Lucretia (Benny), Carmen, Tamara (Charles), and mourned the loss of his brothers, Christopher "Ricky" (Mary, deceased) and Victor (Michele), both of whom predeceased him. Michael was also a beloved uncle to many, including Ryan (deceased), Brandon, Benjamin, Iris, Brittany, Olivia, Naomi, Rachel, Ryan, and Kaitlyn.
Throughout his life, Michael found joy in a variety of interests. He was a dedicated fan of the Grateful Dead and found solace in their music. His love for superhero movies, particularly from the Marvel and DC universes, brought him much happiness and provided countless moments of entertainment with his family. Additionally, he cherished the simple pleasures of enjoying ice cream and pizza dinners during family outings and created memories through treasured vacations. He was dedicated to those that needed his help, working tirelessly with the men at the homeless shelter.
Michael will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew him.
Family and friends are welcomed Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111 where Closing Prayers will be held that evening at approximately 7 PM.
