Michael Ray Moncada

Michael Ray Moncada, lovingly known as Mike, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 48. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and uncle whose love, strength, and presence left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Misty Elizondo; daughter, Addison Moncada; son, Michael L. Moncada (Janelle Moncada); and his grandchildren, Michael Moncada and Aliyah Moncada, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his father, George Moncada. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Moncada.

He leaves behind his brothers, Robert Elizondo (Joann Elizondo), George Moncada, Samuel Moncada (Justine Moncada), and Daniel Moncada (Mandy Casarez). Mike was a proud and loving uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was a hardworking man and, above all else, a devoted family man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who cherished time spent outdoors. He had a generous heart and a warm spirit, sharing laughter, love, and kindness wherever he went. His unwavering dedication to his family and his ability to bring people together will be remembered always.

Mike’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
