Michael Alan Moore

Michael "Mike" A. Moore, 56, of Republic, MO passed on the morning of Wednesday, August 14, 2024 while at KU Medical Center in Kansas City.
Mike was born on April 20, 1968 in Monett, MO, son of Clifford and Karen Jane Moore. He graduated from Bentonville High School in 1986. For over 30 years, he worked in banking software at Jack Henry. Mike attended the Republic church of Christ where he served the Lord in many capacities. Moments of quality time with his wife and family were what Mike treasured most. He also enjoyed and spent much of his time tending to his yard and garden, scrapping, hunting, fishing at Flat Creek, and sitting on his back porch. Above all, Mike lived his life striving to live in and share God's love.
On June 18, 1992, Mike married Kathy Austin. Together they raised their three children; Ryan, Jessica, and Samuel.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Karen Jane Moore; and his sister, Jana Swaffar.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Moore; his children: Ryan Moore and wife, Debbie, of Aurora, MO; Jessica Csizmesia and husband, James, of Willard, MO; and Sam Moore and wife, Julianne, of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren: Dean, Laura, James Moore, and Sam and Julianne's expected baby; his brothers: Tim Moore and wife, Carmen, of Portland, OR; and Lonnie Swaffar and wife, Gena, of Wentworth, MO; two nieces: Toni Johnson and husband, Aaron, and their daughter, of Marionville, MO; and Myca Austin of Republic, MO; a nephew, Tyler Swaffar and wife, Rosie, and their children; three aunts: Pat Smith, Carla Smith, and Kathy Abramovitz; and many extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, MO. The family suggests donations go to support the cancer care at The University of Kansas Health System.
