Michael Adam Moore, 36, tragically passed away on January 3, 2026, in Zanesville, Ohio. Born on June 17, 1989, in Eden, North Carolina, Michael lived a life marked by resilience, passion, and deep connections with those around him.
Michael was the beloved husband of Robin Shipley-Moore. He was the cherished son of Terry and Marty Moore and a devoted brother to Macy Moore and Justin Moore. He also held a special place in his heart for his niece, Lydia Moore.
A proud stepfather, Michael embraced RJ Hummel, Alexis Hummel (Hayden McGee), and Brandon Dusenberry as his own. Among the most treasured joys of his life were his grandchildren—Hayzen, Highland, and Aveya McGee—whom he considered the most special people in his world.
Michael’s love for boxing was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his strength and determination. Even while facing health challenges, he continued to train with unwavering spirit and emerged stronger each time. His dedication to the sport reflected the same perseverance he brought to every aspect of his life.
He shared a meaningful bond with Larry Barker—a special friend and coach— whose guidance and friendship left a lasting impact on him.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, whose memory remained close to him throughout his life.
May Michael’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire strength in the face of adversity.
