Michael Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pierre Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Michael Wayne Moore, age 74, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in the presence of his loved ones.

Michael was born on April 17, 1951, in Morganfield, Kentucky to Mary Jo (Timmons) Williams and the late Charles W. Moore. He retired after 35 years of service from PPG glass factory where he held multiple roles and was a superintendent. He took great pride in his work.

He always had a smile on his face. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone he knew. He enjoyed camping, canoeing, fishing, and hanging out with his family, especially his grandkids. Michael always had an open door – taking in family and friends who needed a roof over their head and a friend who cared. He was a self-less provider to all he knew. After retirement he joined an RV community and made many more friends who also became family to him.

Michael is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Williams; daughters, Crystal Titzer (Don), Tabitha Zadnik (Ryan), and Kim Calhoun; sons, Martin Neighbors (Ashley) and Kenneth Keith (Victoria); sisters, Karen Pierson and Kim Moore; nephew Brian Pierson; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.

Condolences may be made online at www.pierrefuneralhome.com.
