Malcolm A. Adler, 94, of rural Evansville, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Deaconess Hospital Gateway Campus.

Malcolm was born on April 2, 1931, in Evansville to the late Elmer and Elinor (Market) Adler. He was a longtime member of St. Wendel Catholic Church, where he worked as a custodian for 27 years. Malcolm was also a farmer and member of the Knights of St. John Commandery 282 and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and participated in the Honor Flight in 2017.

Surviving Malcolm are his wife of 70 years, Mary Ann (Will) Adler; a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Baker; sons, Donald (Rose) Adler, Daniel (Susan) Adler and Darrel (Camille) Adler; a sister, Charlotte Miller; nine grandchildren, Heather Cottrell, Justin Adler, Alek Adler, Makenzie Dockery, Josh Adler, Ashley Heeke, Chris Adler, Jonathan Scheller and Emily Williams, and thirteen great grandchildren with one more due very soon.

In addition to his parents, Malcolm was preceded in death by an infant son, Randall Adler in 1957 and by a brother-in-law, Andrew Miller.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at St. Wendel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Wendel Church Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service held at 4:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, 10542 W. Boonville New Harmony Road.
