Sheila Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Union Funeral Home - West Frankfort on Feb. 5, 2026.
Sheila Faye (Johnson) Davis, 68, went to meet Jesus on Monday February 2, 2026 in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville at 3:57am.

She was born on May 8, 1957 in Metropolis to Cleo and Ruth (Owens) Johnson. Sheila was a member of the West City Church of God. She loved Jesus and she loved her Christian music and costume jewelry. She was a servant of God. Sheila was a loving mother and wife. She never met a stranger. She would give you the shirt off her back. Sheila had the most beautiful hair and a bright big smile. There is nothing she wouldn't do for her family. The world will not be the same without her.

Sheila was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Johnson; first husband Billy Cyril Marlow Sr.; infant son Billy Cyril Marlow Jr.; and many other family members.

She is survived by her husband Larry G. Davis, whom she was married to for 39 years; oldest daughter Melissa (William) Irvin Sr of West Frankfort; middle daughter Crystal Marlow of West Frankfort; youngest daughter Amanda (Courtney) Marlow of West Frankfort; grandchildren William Irvin Jr., Haley Summers, Rayme (Riley) Summers, Morgan McClerren, Gabriella McClerren, Rachel McClerren, Emmette Marlow, and great-grandchildren Paisley Barger, Giddeon, Nathan, and Ethan Summers; along with countless family from all over.

Visitation will be on Saturday February 7, 2026 from Noon to 2:00pm at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, directed by Mike Crabtree. Service beginning at 2:00pm officiated by Pastor Whitlock of the West City Church of God.

"Where there is great love, there is great loss"

"But I know you're in a place where all your wounds have been erased. And knowing yours is healed is healing mine. And the thought that makes me smile now, even as the tears fall down…is that the only scars in Heaven are on the hands that hold you now"- Casting Crowns.
