Michael Gary Mouhot

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Gary Mouhot, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Mike was born on May 7, 1960, in Kinder, LA, and passed away on August 22, 2024, in Lake Charles, LA, at the age of 64.

 

Growing up in Lake Charles, Mike was known for his love of the outdoors, spending time fishing, hunting, and working with horses and cattle alongside his family. After graduating from Barbe High School, he pursued a career as a rig welder that took him across the United States and as far as South America.

 

Mike took great joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews at cookouts and family gatherings. He was always ready for a good time, especially enjoying boating with friends and family.

 

Mike will be deeply missed by his mother, Gloria Mouhot, brother, Greg Mouhot (Tara), sister-in-law Mona Mouhot, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family.

 

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Mouhot and one brother, Rick Mouhot.

 

Cremation was entrusted to Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home. Family invites friends to gather and celebrate his life on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm with burial at creel cemetery at a later date.
