Michael Murray

Michael Murray of Ponte Vedra Florida passed away to be reunited with his beloved wife, Roberta, on Monday December 16th, 2024. Michael was born on November 4, 1937, in Lewiston, Maine to John and Eva Murray.
Michael enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955 serving honorably for 20 years and retiring in 1975. He rose to the rank of Master Sargent serving in Korea and in Vietnam. He was a Logistics specialist and was a vital asset for the Airforce during his service in Vietnam in the early 1970's keeping supply chains working for the infantry groups in South Vietnam. Michael was the recipient of the Broze Star, Air Force Accommodation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After Michael retired from the Air Force, he put his Logistics expertise to use in the private sector at Honeywell in Herndon, Virginia. Then in 1983 he moved to Titusville, Florida to be a Logistics Manager at the Kennedy Space Center for the Space Shuttle program working for EG&G and then NASA. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, boating and RV travel.
Michael was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church, as was his devotion to his wife of 62 years Roberta and his children Sharon, Dyana and Michael and their husbands, wives, and his grandchildren. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Michael is survived by his sister, Carol Christiansen.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Eva, Patricia, Teresa, Jackie and brothers, Danny and Jo.
Service with Military Honors will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754, (321) 383-2638 on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm EST.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at The Irish Pub and Eatery (Titusville).
