In Loving Memory of Michael George Nahas "Horse"
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael George Nahas, who left this world on April 19, 2025, at the age of 64.
Michael was the beloved son of the late Louis and Kathleen Nahas. A devoted brother, he is survived by Michele Nahas and Denise (Mike) Cottrell. He was a cherished uncle to Jacob and Noella Abraham, Jesse Bruce, Nicholas Cottrell, Natalie Cottrell, Nina (Aaron) Caruso, and the late Adam Abraham. He was also a proud great uncle to many nieces and nephews who brought him joy and laughter over the years.
Michael is lovingly remembered by his partner and the love of his life, Julie Sigda, who stood by his side with unwavering support and deep affection. He also held a special place in his heart for Julie's family- father, Bronislaw Sigda; sisters, Jeanne Sigda, Linda (Tim) Mammel, nieces, nephews, and four beloved great nieces.
Michael was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life-good food, great company, a round of golf, and spontaneous adventures. He had a deep appreciation for travel, especially the memories made in Traverse City with Julie. Golf was more than a game to Michael; it was a way of life. Whether playing a round or simply soaking in the scenery, he cherished the peace and beauty of the course.
He had a special connection to the world around him. While walking or hiking, he'd often pause on a bench, read the dedication, and take a moment to connect with the person remembered there. With a quiet sense of humor and warmth, he might say, "I agree, Grandpa, this is a great place. Thanks for letting us take a break with you." That sentiment perfectly captures Michael's spirit-thoughtful, appreciative, and always ready to share a moment of connection.
Michael's life will be honored with Visitation on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile,
