Obituary of Michael Lawrence Naylor
ALBANY –
Mr. Michael Lawrence Naylor, 65, of Albany, formerly of Schenectady, passed away at Albany Medical Center on March 29, 2025.
He was born in Schenectady on January 27, 1960, a son of the late Lawrence Naylor and Rosemary (Joy) Buzzo Klapp.
Mr. Naylor was formerly a resident of Burnt Hills, NY; Blacksburg, VA; Toronto, ON, Canada; Schenectady, NY; and lastly, Albany, NY. He received his education from Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, Virginia) with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. Mr. Naylor was employed by Mallin Mendel Associates/Envision Architects. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects.
He is warmly remembered as a dedicated and talented architect, artist, music aficionado, movie lover, and avid gamer.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of nearly 27 years, Kelly Cunningham Naylor, whom he married on October 24, 1998 in Golden, Colorado. Michael is also survived by his brother and sister in law, Robert Naylor and Maria Gutierrez.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Naylor was predeceased in death by Megan Cunningham (his stepdaughter), and Mackenzie Naylor (his daughter).
In accordance with his wishes, Michael was cremated and his ashes are to be scattered at a later date at the convenience of his family.
