Michael Nelson Obituary
Michael Adam Nelson, 30, of Peach Creek, WV, departed this life on March 25, 2023, at his residence.
He was born May 11, 1992, in Logan, WV, the son of Michael Nelson and Rosie (Clellan) Hensley.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald (Paylo) & Thelma Faye Nelson and Jack & Easter Johnson, two aunts, Tonya Lynn Johnson and Tammy Evans Varney and two uncles, Monty Ray Evans and Jerry Lee Evans.
Adam was an outdoors man. He loved spending time with his kids, working on cars, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, and playing football and basketball. He also loved to cook, raise a garden and going to the movies.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bobbie Jo Nelson; his three children, Kyler, Kylee and Kreed Nelson; two brothers, Clellan R. Hensley II, and Michael "Stiny" Nelson; father and mother-in-law, Darrell & Kathy Sheppard; brother-in-law, Darrell Sheppard II; sister-in-law. Cheryl Sheppard Spurlock; aunts and uncles, Harold Evans, George Evans, Jackie Johnson, Yvonne (Leonarde) Meade, Manny (Lisa) Nelson, Teresa Nelson, Crystal Nelson, Bruce Nelson, Donald Nelson Jr, Paylo Nelson, Naomi (Lewis) Roach, and David Conley; cousins, Misty Belcher, Manny Nelson Jr, Leonarde Meade Jr, Chris Meade, James (Kayla) Meade, Evan (Alisha) Varney, Rachael (Chris) Hale, Lewis (Juney) Roach, Adam Roach and Pete Conley; and one nephew, Wyatt Hensley.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Verdunville Church of God with Jerry Allen Adams officiating. Burial will follow at the Baisden Cemetery, Verdunville, WV.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Sheppard II, Donnie Workman, Sam Hensley, Kobe Meade, Jacob Egnor, Clellan Hensley II, Lewis Roach, Joe Bias, James Meade and Zach Hensley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clellan Hensley Sr, Darrell Sheppard Sr, George Evans, and Harold Evans.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
