Michael Norris Obituary
Mr. Norris is survived by his loving family.
Michael Bernard Norris was born on August 5, 1974, in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Richard Norris and Dorothy Norris. Mike and Money Man, as he was affectionately known, was the fourth of six children born to this union.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Richard Norris and his mother, Dorothy Norris; his brothers, Wayne Collins and Thomas Lavern Norris and his grandmother, Mary Carson. Under the leadership of Reverend L. Andre Huff, he attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He loved listening to him preach. He received his education through the Gadsden Public School system.
Mike also known as Money Man, was known as the life of the party. He always dressed to the "T", danced the night away and flashed a few dollars around. Making people laugh was his passion. He loved being around lots of people telling jokes and even sometimes stretching the truth as long as he could make you laugh. He loved cars and motorcycles. His love for his family was always at the top of his list asking are you alright? Or what's wrong? As well as - why are you looking at me like that?
Michael is survived by one son, Dre Spivey of Cleveland, OH; three daughters, Jariya Norris, Janiyah Dandridge and Makala Nolen, all of Anniston, AL; one granddaughter, Remi Johnson of Anniston, AL; five brothers, Richard Norris, Eric Norris, Samuel Wyatt, Darryl Ledford, all of Gadsden, AL and Curtis Woods of Port Arthur, TX; four sisters, Lakameka Woods, Kristy Garret, Sundrika Boley and Marcia Kendrick, all of Gadsden, AL; one aunt, Dorise Thompson of Cleveland, OH; special friends, Mr. Terry, Mr. Patrick (Pat) Earma McCurdy, Kenya Osley, Kenda Bush, Tamiah Hill, Arma Norris, Jerome Wynn, Tonya Woody and Clint Woody and so many more acquaintances and friends.
In person condolences with the family will be 12 noon-6pm Friday, December 26, 2025 in the Chapel of West Gadsden.
Celebration of life will be 1:00pm Saturday, December 27,2025 at the Mission Baptist Church, Burial Rainbow Memorial Park.
