Michael Olson Obituary
Michael Olson, age 58, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023. A memorial visitation celebrating Michael's life will be held on Thursday, February 9, from 5 to 7 PM at Bayview-Freeborn Funeral Home.
Michael Scott Olson was born in Albert Lea, MN on June 12, 1964 to George Jr. and Floy Marie (Payne) Olson. He grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1982. He then returned to Albert Lea worked at Albert Lea Trailor Incorporated. He continued to live in Albert Lea until the time of his death.
Michael enjoyed camping, snow mobiling, boating and fishing, model cars and collecting Hot Wheels. His favorite pastimes included watching NASCAR and NHRA. He could often be found in his garage working on various projects.
Michael is survived by his children, Trevor Carlsen, Shyann Olson, Gem Olson; mother of his children, Lacy Carlsen; grandson, Bentlee Savoy; Siblings, Georgann Trytten, Gloria Olson, Mark Olson and his wife, Paula; Tami Olson-Davidson and her husband, Dan; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Jr. and Floy Marie Olson; brother, Robert Olson and sister, Julie Manuel.
