Michael James Osburn

Michael James Osburn, age 79, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at his home under the care of Elara Hospice. He was born on July 21, 1945 in Adrian, MI, the son of the late John "Jack" Glenn and Alline Ruth (Lerch) Osburn. On December 11, 1965 he was joined in marriage to Mary Ann Suratt at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh, and they enjoyed almost sixty years together before his passing.
Michael was self employed as a builder for over forty years, and he also served as a realtor with Foundation Realty. He was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time riding his motorcycle and was proud to be a member of the Maple City Gold Wingers. Michael also had his private pilot license and looked forward to all the time he could spend in the air. The best times for him though were when he could be with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ann, Michael is survived by his children, Tammy Carter and Matthew (Kelly) Osburn, both of Tecumseh, MI, and Steve (Lisa) Osburn of Sedalia, MO; his siblings, Jay (Judy) Osburn and Sharie Turner, both of Tecumseh, MI; seven grandchildren, Kayla (Sky) Carter, Amber (Derek) Shadley, Shelby Osburn, Amanda (Garrett) Prieur, Megan (Nick) Hagedorn, Courtney (Sean) Stubli, and Justin Osburn; three great-grandchildren, Avery and Riley Shadley, John-Luke Wagenknecht, and a fourth, Eliza Prieur, due in April; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
