Michael James Owen, affectionately known as Mike, was born on July 28, 1983, in Allegan. Sadly, he passed away on December 28, 2025, at his home. Mike’s strong personality and dedication to family defined his life, and he will be remembered as a thoughtful listener who made a lasting impression on all who knew him.
A proud veteran, Mike served in the US Navy, a testament to his commitment to serving his country. His time in the military shaped not only his character but also his appreciation for dedication and honor.
Mike enjoyed life's simpler pleasures, playing with his dog or often found sitting on the boat, fishing, and taking in the beautiful scenery around him. These moments in nature highlighted his love for tranquility and the outdoors, providing him with joy and peace.
He is survived by his family, including his wife, Erica, and step-children: Brody, Cali, and Isaac. Mike’s parents, Jim and Dena, as well as his grandmother Nellie, also remain to cherish his memory. He is remembered fondly by his siblings: Jimmy, Elizabeth, and Rose, along with his brothers-in-law, Craig and Tyler. His extended family includes nephews Jamie, Connor, Declan, and Bentley, and nieces Harper, Izzy, Penny and Tori, all of whom were dear to him.
Mike was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, Tom and Betty. Their legacy of love and family continues to resonate within those who survive him, as they reflect on the life he lived and the values he held dear.
Michael James Owen will be profoundly missed, leaving behind a legacy woven into the lives of his family and friends, who will carry his spirit with them always.
