Michael Padgett 84, of Beech Grove passed away July 27th, 2025. Michael was born November 07, 1940, to Elmer and Aline (Sherron) Padgett. He was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis. He survives his loving wife Margaret Harper of Lynn, Illinois. They were married December 10th, 1971, in Indianapolis, Indiana, 54 wonderful years of marriage. Together they had a beautiful family. That filled their lives with much joy and love
Michael was a member of the United States Air Force from 1963-1968 with the rank of SSGT, and a member of the American Legion. He and wife Margaret were self-employed after owning their own business for over 18 years. Michael was a Family Genealogist for over 30 years and enjoyed researching his family tree.
Michael is survived by his wife Margaret, their children Chantel Padgett, Jon M. Padgett (Marsha), Sherry Sullivan (Joe), Terry Matthews and Bryan Matthews (Rhonda), his 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Aline Padgett, his brothers Elmer Jr., Cecil, Harold and his sisters Shirley Froelich, Elizabeth Doss.
A memorial gathering will be held at 12pm-2pm with a service to follow at 2pm on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
