Michael Penta Sr. of Chelsea formerly of Everett passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Sant’ Angelo all’Esca, Italy on October 31, 1941, to the late Ciriaco Penta and Maria (Pizzano). Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Antonietta (LoPriore). Michael was a beacon of loyalty and dedication, a pillar of strength for his loved ones, and a guiding light for those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. A proud and hardworking man, he was a steadfast presence in the clothing industry for over 50 years, where he diligently served as a presser. His work was more than an occupation; it was a testament to his unwavering commitment and skill for his craft.
His loyalty was evident in his steadfast commitment to those around him, making him a cherished part of his family. He was a devoted father of Maria Puleo and her husband John of RI, Rita O’Leary and her partner David Sweet of Wakefield, Linda Penta of Malden, Charles Penta and his wife Anneta of Melrose, and Michael Penta Jr. of Everett. Adored grandfather of Stephanie and Anthony Puleo, Megan O’Leary, Antonia Correale and her husband Ryan, Alexandra, Anastasia, Gianna, Sofia, and Sabrina Penta. Dear brother of the late Ralph Penta and his surviving wife Lina, and the late Peter Penta and his late wife Connie. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Revere at 12:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Lung Association, National Direct Response, P.O. Box 756, Osceola, WI 54020 or at www.lung.org or to Care Dimensions Lincoln Hospice House, 125 Winter St, Lincoln, MA 01773 or at www.caredimensions.org. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
