Michael Peterson Obituary

Michael E. Peterson

Michael E. Peterson, 66, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Chicago, IL. He was born December 15, 1958, in Chicago, and had been a lifelong resident of Wildwood, IL. Mike retired after 30 years as a Maintenance Electrician at Highland Park Hospital and was a member of New Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Mundelein. He will be remembered as an avid Chicago Bears fan always attending every game he could and enjoyed fishing and blues music.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Deborah Peterson; 2 sons, Jason Peterson and Zev Dase (fiancee, Tara); granddaughter, Chloe; sister, Catherine Peterson; and by nieces and nephews, Joshua (Amaya) and Jacob Peterson, Gail (Rene) Acosta and Geo (John) Cortina.

Preceded in death by his parents, Eric and Mary Peterson; and by his brother, Mark Peterson.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. in Libertyville, IL. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville.
