PICARELLO, Michael R.- Of Weymouth, formerly of Chelsea, July 21st. Devoted husband of the late Phyllis (Byrne). Beloved brother of Grace Cerra of Chelsea, John Deroian of UT and the late Julia Gaspar. Loving uncle to George Cerra of TX, Paul Cerra of Watertown, Alison Ryan of NV and Diane Nielsen of UT. Dear step-father of Susan Chambers and Diane Powers both of Weymouth. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Wednesady, July 27th at 9 AM folowed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Michael the Archangel Chapel on the grounds of the Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Veteran with over 20 years served, Michael passed away at the West Rosbury Veterans Administration Hospital Thursday afternoon after a long illness. Born in Chelsea and a resident here until entering the Marines, when he returned he resided in Weymouth until his passing. After his service to his country he held positions at the Chelsea Soldiers Home until his retirement 10 years later. During his working years and in retirement he enjoyed cards and bowling and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #83 and the Mottola Post in Revere.
