Michael Pruett Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 6, 2024.
Michael David Pruett, age 73, of Pflugerville, went to be with Jesus on March 2, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1950 in Borger, Texas to Robert Clyde Pruett and Blondell (Erskine) Pruett. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Pflugerville.
Mike was a graduate of Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Business Administration. He was working for AT&T in Austin, Texas when he was involved in an automobile accident in 2002. Although he was changed from that accident, his sweet spirit remained and he brought joy to those around him. Although he could no longer serve as the organist at his church, he found other ways to serve and helped at the church food pantry, sang in the choir and helped in Vacation Bible School.
Those left behind to cherish Mike's memory include his wife of fifty years, Janet Pruett of Pflugerville; his daughter, Angela St. Clair and husband Chad and their children, Holden, Hannah and Mia of Pflugerville; his son, Greg Pruett and fiancée, Kat Jansen of Uhland; his stepmother, Louise Pruett; his brothers, Robbie and wife Pat Pruett of Chaney, AR and Jerry and wife Cherie Pruett of Gulfport, MS; and his sister-in-law, Tracy Wimberley.
A Celebration of Mike's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at First Baptist Church, 306 10th Street in Pflugerville.
In lieu of flowers, please give memorial donations to the First Baptist Church of Pflugerville Food Pantry or donate Bibles in Mike's memory through Gideons International, so that the Word of God can reach those around the world.
