Michael L. Raygoza

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michael L. Raygoza, known as Rayna Starr Sayer, who died on August 6, 2024. He was 36 years old. Michael was born on July 1, 1988, in Phoenix to Geraldine Agnes Francisco and Miguel Raygoza. 

Michael's journey included attending Ajo Schools and living in various places, including Ajo, Buckeye, and San Francisco, before returning to Arizona in 2023. Throughout his life, he made lasting connections and contributed warmth and kindness to those around him. 

He is survived by his beloved Aunt and Godmother, Delphina Mark, Godfather Terrance Garcia, and his uncle Raymond Garcia. His cousins, Emmeline Garcia, Tash Garcia, Samantha Cipriano, Marcus Jr., Adriana, and Adrian Francisco of Gila Bend. Many aunts and uncles from the Garcia, Sandoval, and Jones families. 

Michael is preceded in death by his husband, Aaron Sayer, his mother Geraldine Francisco, and his grandparents, Anastasia Garcia and Henry Francisco, along with his Uncle Marcus Francisco. 

An all-night wake will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the residence of Delphina Mark in Ajo, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:30 a.m., followed by a burial at Darby Wells Cemetery. 

Michael's spirit and love will continue to be felt by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
