Michael F. Reber, age 85 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S, Cottage Grove, MN from 1:00-4:00 pm. Interment will be private. Memorials are preferred to Parkinson Voice Project, 646 N. Coit Road, Suite 2250; Richardson, Texas 75080.
Mike enlisted in the US Navy Reserves in 1957 and spent 2 years on active duty in the South China Sea. After the service he worked at Hoerner Waldorf as a Maintenance Machinist, followed by several years with the state as deputy fire marshal. He was elected the last constable for the City of Woodbury and later hired as their Fire Marshal. In 1994 he retired to enjoy his passions - wood working, his garden and "road" travels.
He is preceded in death by his parents Al & Marianne and step-son Jim Kernan. Mike was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by wife Nancy, kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, brother Tony (Kathy), nieces and friends.
A special thank you to all who provided love and care during his final days - the Nurses and aides at Marian Care Center-St. Paul and Health Partners Hospice.
