Columbia, South Carolina - Michael Daniel Renedo, 71, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at his home in Columbia, SC. Mr. Renedo, known as "Mike" to his friends and family, was born in Miami, FL on September 12, 1950, to his late parents, Angelina Mesa Renedo and Dr. Henry Enrique Renedo. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jennifer Chamblee Renedo; his children, Elizabeth and Daniel; and his siblings, Yolanda Hobbs of Miami, FL, and Thomas Renedo of Columbia.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman throughout his life, and spent countless hours hunting, fishing and camping in the woods and wildlands of his native FL and SC, where he had lived since 1976. Many of these happy hours were spent in the company of beloved lifelong friends with whom Mike maintained close relationships throughout his life. Mr. Renedo was devoted to these friends and to his family, always abiding by the credos of "family first" and "do the right thing." He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business.
Services will be held at 12:00pm on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Greenlawn Serenity Gardens, 6601 Windwan Drive, Columbia, SC 29209.
