Michael Reynolds Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beachwood Society - Naples on Jan. 20, 2026.
Michael Lynn Reynolds, beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on January 19, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and generosity.

Michael was born on January 28, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and attended Saint Francis College in Fort Wayne. He later moved to New Jersey, where he met the love of his life, Joan. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage, building a life rooted in devotion, family, and friendship. Through their marriage, Michael became a devoted stepfather to Joan's four sons, a role he embraced with pride, love, and unwavering commitment. He was also a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, taking immense joy in his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Michael proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran, including service during the Vietnam War. His military service reflected his strong sense of duty, courage, and commitment to others.

He built a long and successful career in the insurance industry, serving as a controller and later working in sales, where he was respected for his integrity and work ethic.

Later in life, Michael and Joan moved to Naples, Florida, where they became deeply rooted in the Naples Heritage community. There, Michael made countless friends and was known for his kindness, easy-going nature, and willingness to help others. He loved to play golf and could often be found on the course enjoying the game he cherished. Michael was a natural problem solver who seemed to know how to fix just about anything. He generously shared his skills by helping neighbors with home improvements, never hesitating to lend a hand or offer advice. His helpful spirit and steady presence will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan Reynolds; his sister, Carol Meyer; his brothers, Paul Reynolds and Gary Reynolds; three of his four stepsons and their wives; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Marie Reynolds, and his stepson, Gary Bellone. Michael's life was defined by love, service, and generosity, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
