Michael Ritchie, 78, of Zanesville passed away peacefully in his home while in the loving presence of his family on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was born on July 29, 1947 in Marietta, Ohio to Leslie and Myrtle (Shears) Ritchie. He was a worker in a Bottle Factory, enjoyed woodworking, and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne (Medcalf) Ritchie, whom he married February 6, 1971, and his sons, Robert (Leah) Ritchie, Michael A. Ritchie, Christopher (Yvonne) Ritchie, and his sister Loretta Stephen. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Blue.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert “Bobby” Ritchie, Leonard Ritchie, Sr, Leroy “Roy” Ritchie, and Lester “Leck” Ritchie, and his sister, Ramona “Monie” Williams, and Gary T. Ritchie.
A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
