Michael Rolark Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Michael D. Rolark went to be with the Lord peacefully on June 14, 2025. Born on April 12, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Michael was the beloved son of Laura Lee Wynn. Following her passing, he was lovingly raised by his aunt, the late Sophia Wynn.
Michael graduated from high school in Middletown, Ohio, and went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he dedicated 25 years of his career to the Nike Center, MRDD Division, where he made a lasting impact with his compassion and commitment.
A devoted member and elder of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Michael lived a life of deep faith and quiet strength. He was an avid reader, a thoughtful thinker, and a patient listener, always offering wisdom and grace to those around him. Known for his sharp style and love of Jazz, Michael also enjoyed traveling-especially to Yellow Springs, Ohio, and Toronto, Canada.
Even after retirement, Michael remained active in the community, working part-time with various agencies and companies, continuing to serve others with the same humility and kindness that defined his life.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Rolark; daughter, Heather Rolark; sons, Michael Rolark II and Jeremy Curtis of Wilmington, OH; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his special cousin, Marva Bledsoe; dear friends, Debra Yates, Jimmy Dixon, and Tony Greene; and a host of cousins and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Lee Wynn; his aunt, Sophia Wynn; and his brother, Clarence Saine.
Michael will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love he gave, the wisdom he shared, and the lives he touched.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wilmington, Ohio, 225 Randolph Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Funeral Service will take place following visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor Byron McGee will be officiating. Post 49 Honor Guard will present military honors at the Cornerstone Baptist Church following services.
