Michael Robertson Rolland, Sr “Big Mike”.

Michael Robertson Rolland, Sr, passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday March 18, 2025, at the age of 44 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Big Mike” entered the world on March 2, 1981, in Wichita Kansas. He was the son of Mikel Antwine and Angela Rolland, and the God son to Jackie & Karla Hooks. “Big Mike” is number two of eight children from his mother, and one of many from his father. Big Mike lead an openly private life, leaving us with a lifetime of memories. Growing up he attended Tulsa Public Schools and would lend his size to the football team.Big Mike gave his life to Christ at an early age when he met Pastor Rodney Gray. Pastor Gray introduced Big Mike to a youth group, Destination Discovery, where he would learn about the Bible and other life skills. Out of all the skills he learned, cooking was the one stuck the most. He loved to eat. Big Mike supported his family by working at various grocery stores, Braum’s and as a security guard at the Rose Room. Big Mike’s favorite snack was “Cheese Balls” and he loved listening to his favorite music loudly. You could always find him spending his time with his family and friends. Big Mike ended his journey of life attending Shiloh Baptist Church under the beloved Rev. Vernell Bell- or as Big Mike liked to call him, “Pastor Bell”.

Big Mike leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; Angela Rolland, his father Mikel Antwine; God parents Jackie and Karla Hooks, his children Devonte Houston, daughter-in-law Emmalee Houston, Michael Rolland Jr, Demarko Rolland; grandchildren Kehlani Houston, Michael Rolland III, and God daughter Michelle Tallent, his sibilings, Shemika, Mykesha, Shatoya, Charise, Ashley, Johna, Desray, Maurice, Delquonte, Terry, Terrance, Deonte, Shay, Catina. And host of other siblings, family and friends. 

Big Mike as proceeded in death by his brothers; Keonte, Myron Jr, and Jamarland, his life partner Yolanda Brown, his grandparents Shirley Rolland, Willie Johnson, Erma and Hezzie Antwine Jr, and his nephew Maurice Jr.
