Carm— I just saw this obituary of your father, and was amazed at the description of his service. What a man, and what an experience! I hope and trust all is well with you and your family; my wife, Lydia, and I are closing on our 49th year of marriage, and our red-headed daughters are 40 and 38 years old. We have a 4 year old granddaughter ( Vivian) who is a complete pistol! Best to you and Bruce. Angus (Bob) Everton

To the Romanelli Family---Although we have never met, my father was also in both the 94th Infantry Division AND 301st Regiment in WWII (he told stories about the crossing on the Cunard line!). I looked it up and that was about 1,000 troops. He passed away in late 2015 after a long full life. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. I was struck by the story in the Baltimore Sun obit about your father and the cold and wet feet. My father was obsessed with keeping his feet dry and warm for the decades after the war. If I was in a sporting event and it was raining he insisted I take dry socks to change into at halftime. My protest that a lacrosse game is only 2 hours and far short of the winter of 1944-45 in western Europe fell on deaf ears. My sympathies to your family. This is truly the passing of the Greatest Generation. May his memory be a blessing and comfort to all.

May his soul rest in peace. I worked with Mike when I was Administrative Assistant to the Chief of the Computing Laboratory, and Mike was Chief of one of the five branches. . Our families became friends and we visited back in the 1960's when Mike and Antionette became godparents to my youngest, Mildred Jean. Just prior to my retirement Mike became my supervisor, when he was promoted to Chief of the Computing Laboratory. He had worked as Chief of the Mathematics Branch for several years prior. He was well respected by all who knew him After my retirement we lost contact. I haven't seen him for many years, but remember talking on the phone with him when Antoinette passed. My sincere condolences to the Romanelli family.
