Michael Alan Rovner

Michael Alan Rovner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Leland, North Carolina, at the age of 82. Born on April 5, 1942, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Michael lived a life marked by devotion to his family, friends, and career.
Michael began his professional journey as an accountant in the garment industry, where he worked diligently before joining his family's business, Mack's Men's Shop and Bette's Boutique, in Manchester, NH. Later in his career, he served as a medical biller for Boston Hospitals, where his meticulous nature and dedication were highly valued.
A passionate sports fanatic, Michael was particularly fond of the Boston Braves and Boston Celtics. He cherished watching his children's and grandchildren's sports and activities, always their number-one fan. Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as taking his dog Max on long walks, going to the beach with his beloved wife, Barbara, and exploring new destinations through travel.
Preceded in death by his parents, Max and Bette Rovner; Michael leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Rovner of Leland, NC; daughters, Stacy Sakellariou and her husband Dean of Naples, FL, and Carrie Niman and her husband Seth of Bethesda, MD; grandchildren, Emily and Adam Niman, who brought immense pride and joy to his life; brother, Robert Rovner and wife Judy of Chevy Chase, MD; and sister, Debbie Pariser and husband David of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and a nephew, and his treasured dog, Max.
A Memorial Service will be planned in the Spring to honor Michael's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
