Michael Steve Schrader

In Loving Memory of Michael Steve Schrader, 41, Born October 7th, 1982 - April 22nd, 2024. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Michael, who departed from this world on April 22nd, 2024. He left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on October 7th, 1982, Michael brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who crossed his path. He was known for his unwavering compassion, boundless generosity, and infectious laughter. He had a remarkable ability to uplift others with his words of encouragement and genuine concern for their well-being.  

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and lived here the entirety of his life. He was raised by his mother Shelley Schrader and his father Steve Martinez. He was always a great help and joy to both parents. He always made sure his mother was taken care of to the best of his ability. Michael was an avid mechanic. He loved working on cars and learning everything there was to know about them. He could look at a car from across the way and tell you the make, model, year, engine, and anything else about it from a simple glance.

He married Megan McGuire in May of 2014. They would have celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary this May. They had two beautiful children, Tanner in 2013, and Ariana in 2017. He lived for his children and family. He was an amazing father and was always a goofball, he lived to make his wife and children happy and laugh every day.                       

Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to shine bright for those he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing his impact on this world will never be forgotten.

Michael is survived by his mother, Shelley Schrader. His father Steve Martinez, step- mother Teresa Martinez, step-brothers Weston, Brandon, and Conner. Wife Megan Schrader, and children Tanner and Ariana. And by all of his extended loving family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory.                       

A viewing for friends and family will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LDS Ward, 2811 South 6400 West, West Valley City,  Utah 84128.

A Celebration of Michael's Life will be on Saturday, May 4th at 5:00pm at 6508 W Cottontail Drive, West Valley City, Utah 84128.
