Michael Scroggins

Michael Scroggins, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on December 30, 1969, Mike was a beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend, whose life was filled with love and joy.

Mike's vibrant spirit was evident in all aspects of his life. He enjoyed playing volleyball when he could. His leisure time was often spent indulging in his love for old westerns and professional wrestling. However, above all else, Mike’s pride and joy were his sons and granddaughter. His dedication to their well-being and happiness was unparalleled.

He is survived by his life-long best friend, Christina Scroggins, who stood by his side through life's many challenges and triumphs. His legacy continues through his sons, Brad (Alisha) Scroggins and Brandon Scroggins, as well as his granddaughter, Bradleigh Marie, who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings, Ronnie Scroggins, Lisa (Charlie) Garwood, and Jerry (Erin) Scroggins, who will remember him fondly as a brother full of love and laughter.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard Scroggins and Alice Sansbury Scroggins.

Mike Scroggins will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Mike's wishes.
