It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Michael Segal on June 12, 2023. Michael's family includes his parents: David Segal, Catherine Segal, two brothers: Kevin Segal, Mark Segal and wife Sophia Liu, dog: Pinky (El Chappo), paternal and maternal grandparents: Leonard Segal (late), Barbara Segal (late), Wanda Azzola (late), James Azzola Sr (living) and wife Rose, uncles/aunts: Robert Segal and wife Kitz, Jeffery Segal and wife Linda, James Azzola Jr and Joseph Azzola, cousins: Cody Segal, Brian Segal, Lauren Segal, Lauren Azzola, and Megan Azzola, along with many friends too numerous to list.
Mike loved his family, friends, boats, motorcycles, cars and anything else with an engine. He was an auto mechanic but would also fix boats, motorcycles and restaurant appliances as well. He loved playing Hockey and was a standout performer in high school. His business interests extended to entrepreneurial pursuits. Mike enjoyed spending time with his dog. As a free spirit he also spent considerable time with his friends at their favorite restaurants. He will be missed by all of those who knew him well.
On Saturday July 1, family and friends may visit the West Haven Funeral Home 662 Savin Avenue West Haven between 11 am and 1 pm to share stories and memories of Mike. Casual dress is encouraged. Come as you are. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Friends of the New Haven Shelter, PO Box 9056 Brewery St Station, New Haven, CT, 06532.
