Michael J. Shepherd

Michael John Shepherd passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 26. He was the beloved son of Claudia Schuth Shepherd and the late Robert John Shepherd. Devoted brother of Darnell, Rhonda, Lisa, Robyn & Jessica Shepherd. Grandson of the late Mildred Geisler & Richard Shepherd Jr. and Elsie & Henry Schuth. Uncle of Tomi Anne Ramel. Nephew of Henry Schuth Jr., Christine Stogner, Cindy Moreau and Richard Shepherd III. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and a close circle of friends. Although Michael’s life may seem tragically short to us all, Michael would want us to remember that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was a dedicated son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, who help us create many wonderful and lasting memories, and will be deeply missed by all who were touched by his love, kindness and laughter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, March 31st from 6:00PM – 9:00PM and again on Friday morning from 9:00AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Michael’s memory beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
