Michael S. Sheppard

Michael Scott Sheppard, 69, of Dundalk, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind family and friends who love him deeply and will miss him fiercely.

Mike was born in Shady Side, MD to the late Franklin Delano "Buck" Sheppard and his beloved mother, Mabel (nee Sneed) Sheppard, who survives him at 90 years old. He attended Southern High School and grew up with a strong sense of loyalty, humor, and dedication to family, qualities that defined his entire life. He was preceded in death by his cherished sister, Michelle "Nikki" Kelley, and is survived by his brothers, Mitch and Mark Sheppard.

Mike was the devoted husband of Sharon (nee Clark) Sheppard of Dundalk, his partner and best friend of 46 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and shared happiness.

He was a proud father to Tammy Sollenberger; Michael Sheppard and his wife, Rozilyn; Robert Sheppard and his wife, Sarah; and Thomas Sheppard and his girlfriend, Kristina.

He was also a fun-loving grandfather to eight grandchildren (Elizabeth, Shelby, Aris, Saleen, Scarlett, Colt, Hunter, Lainey) who captured his heart and his smile. Nothing brought him more joy than being their "Popi."

Often with a Corona in his hand, he loved eating crabs and sushi, watching the Ravens, riding his Harley, caring for his 1970 Chevelle, and camping out at NASCAR races. In the kitchen, Mike was equally in his element, cooking for the people he loved was one way he showed his love.

Mike spent the majority of his career as a superintendent at Monarc Construction where he took deep pride in his work and left quite an impact.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 13th, 2026, from 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm at Battle Grove Democratic Club 7900 New Battle Grove Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be collected at the Celebration of Life for his grandchildren's college fund.
