Michael R. Sherry 71, of Homer Glen was born in Berwyn, IL to the late Raymond Sherry and Gladys Wheeler and passed away November 27, 2024. Beloved husband of Ellen (nee Jezik) Sherry for 48 years; loving father of Heather (Dave Kummer) Mau, and Amber (Joe) Paciorek; proud and loving papa of Ashlyn Mau, Brooke Mau, Joey Paciorek, and Lukas Paciorek; dear brother of Karen (Bob) Slehofer, Mark (Peggy) Sherry, and John (Mark) Cole; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Michael was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to his grandchildren. You would always see him cheering them on, wheather it was volleyball, wrestling, baseball, football or even cheerleading, papa was there to support them all. If he wasn't cheering on family, he was cheering for the local sports teams, especially the Chicago Blackhawks. Notre Dame football was one of his college favorites. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL. on Tuesday December 3, 2024 from 3-8pm with a chapel service starting at 7:00pm.
