Celebrating the Life of Michael Roy Siedow
November 24, 1962 – October 12, 2025
Michael Roy Siedow was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and passed away peacefully at home in Rosemount, surrounded by love. Mike had a brilliant mind and an endless curiosity. If something sparked his interest, he'd dive in headfirst and somehow become an expert by the end of the week. He was passionate about classic cars, music, and anything with an engine or a rhythm. A self-taught musician, he could pick up a guitar, drumsticks, or a bass and make it sound like second nature. He had a quick wit and a sense of humor that left an impression on everyone he met. Mike was outgoing, charismatic, humble, and incredibly patient. He worked hard, loved deeply, and never took life too seriously. He lived it fully-and on his own terms.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Sharon Friesen and Larry Siedow, his brother, Greg Friesen, and his mother and father-in-law, Al and Jean King. He is survived by his birth mother, Kathy Janzen of Seattle, Washington; his step-father, Frank Friesen of Apple Valley; big brother Pat (Joan) Siedow and big sister Sharry Miller, step-siblings Michael (Lita) Friesen, Paul Friesen, Karen (Dave) Gruenke, Susie (Craig) Rossow, Diane (Adal) Villalobos, Bud (Cheryl) King, his nieces and nephews, his best friend and wife of 41 years, Kimberly Siedow (thanks to Kim's brother, Bud setting them up); and their three children: Michael (Chelsea) Siedow of Lakeville, Ria Grossinger of St. Michael, and Marissa (Dillon) O'Brien of Farmington.
His proudest role was being "Grandpa" to ten grandkids-Scarlett, Harper, Paxton, Piper, Aidin, Gavin, Natalie, Brynnlie, Sloane, and Calum. He loved to brag about them and was happiest when surrounded by their laughter. Professionally, Mike poured his energy and charm into over 18 years as a flight attendant for Sun Country Airlines, along with years spent at Ryan International Air, AVR, Cannon Valley Woodwork, and Brockway Glass.
Mike's spirit was as boundless as his humor. Though he's no longer with us in the way we're used to, those who knew him can still feel his presence-in the rumble of a passing engine, the strum of a familiar song, or a perfectly timed joke when it's needed most. His light and laughter will be missed deeply and remembered always.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 5:00PM - 8:000PM at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00AM at the funeral home, with a Visitation beginning one hour prior, at 10:00AM.
