Mr. Michael Leyland Simmons, 62 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, was born August 26, 1963, in McKeesport, PA. He was the son of the late Sylvester and Marion Singleton Simmons.

Michael attended school and graduated from McKeesport School District. After graduation, he worked for various places of employment; his most recent employment was with Mon Yough Community in the Housekeeping Department

Michael enjoyed watching the cooking channel, playing cards, and softball for the McKeesport All-Stars Team.

Michael departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2025, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, father Sylvester Simmons, mother Marion Singelton Simmons, daughter Christine M. White (March 31, 2001, and son Emmanuel C. White (December 3, 2012).

Michael leaves to cherish his memories are his children, son, Isiah White, daughter, Michelle White, grandson, Samahd D. Pierce all of McKeesport, siblings, Linda Singleton King, Cheryl Simmons, Jerry Simmons, all of McKeesport, Carol Simmons of Wilkinsburg, Mark (Joy) Simmons of McKeesport, Vernelle Marshall of White Oak, Kirk Simmons of McKeesport, uncle and aunt, Jerry and Diane Singleton, nieces, nephews, cousin extended relatives and friends.
