He was the son of Orville Simpson of Arkadelphia, Arkansas and the late Eunice Simpson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother Eunice Simpson, his sister Debra Derrick, and his first wife Carrie Hendrix Simpson.
Mike is survived by his wife of the home Jo Ann Simpson, and his father Orville Simpson (Hazel) of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, daughters Lesa Williams (Eric) of Rose Bud, Arkansas, Casey George (Shawn) of Vilonia, Arkansas, Amanda Simpson McAfee (Ryan) of Rose Bud, Arkansas, his grandchildren Kelsie Williams (Cody), Korie Williams (Dalton), Alec Goodnight, Avery Goodnight (Keilyn), Khloie George, Brantley George, Kara McAfee, Luke McAfee, his great-grandchild Charlie Ann Morgan, and his best friend/brother Greg Buchanan (Malinda) of Romance, Arkansas. Mike is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the Romance Full Gospel Church with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm with Pastor John King officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Buchanan, Troy Buchanan, Derrick Pearson, Shawn Johns, Roger Nelson, and Greg Cruise. Honorary Pallbearers are Ryan McAfee, Eric Williams, Shawn George, and Tim Thompson.
