Michael Raymond Smith

Michael Raymond Smith (Mike) died Sunday September 7th at the age of 77. At the time of his passing, he was a resident of Orange City. Mike was born on January 7th, 1948, in DeLand and was the son of Henry R. and Corrine L. Smith. He served his country in the US Air Force as a cryptologist stationed in Taiwan, ROC. Subsequently he worked in various positions related to the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of sophisticated computer, electromedical and physical therapy equipment. He co-owned a Caribbean shipping and trading company. His great passions, however, were for motorcycles and muscle cars. He will be interred with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 10:30 am on Monday October 6th. He is survived by his two brothers, Mark H. of Greensboro NC and Matt C. of Daytona Beach, four nephews and one niece.
