Michael Smith Obituary
Michael was born on January 5, 1951, in Moberly, Missouri, the son of C. Edwin "Red" Smith and Nellie Jane (Vorge) Smith. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Robb on February 14, 1970, at Higbee Baptist Church.
Michael spent his working life in small engine repair and was the proud owner and operator of Smith Small Engines in Moberly. He took great pride in his work and was known for his mechanical skill and willingness to help others. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed HAM radio, CB radios, golfing, listening to music, trains, movies, and watching sports. He was a member of North Park Baptist Church in Moberly.
He is survived by his children, Michael Shannon Smith (Jessica) of New Bloomfield, Missouri, Jodi Diane Smith of Huntsville, Missouri, and Erin J. Smith (Jason) of Huntsville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Kenzie Riles (Preston), Lane White, Gavin Smith, Lindsey Hildreth (Brett), Corey Smith (Jalyn), and Kyle Smith; five great-grandchildren, with two more expected; as well as a cousin, Carla Walker, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemary Smith; and a grandson, Joey Fifer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, MO. Burial will follow in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the North Park Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, MO.

I met Mike a couple years ago, by being one of his drivers,
working for Oats and transporting him to dialysis. What a
fun guy he was ! Had lots of interesting conversations and
advice ( hilarious sarcastic opinions ) about my driving and
which road I should take ! This is how I met Rosemary and Jodi,
and we became friends !! I'm gonna miss seeing Mike and his
different collection of hats he wore, He was a funny and kind
man. Rest in peace Mike and say hi to Rosemary for me ):
