William Eugene Martin

William "Bill" Eugene Martin, 78, of Moberly, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Bill was born on August 15, 1947, in Leavenworth, KS, the son of Robert and Rita (Keena) Martin. He was united in marriage to Helen Francis Chism on April 5, 1984. Bill was a member of the King James Church in Moberly, MO. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering in his shop, collecting knives, firearms, vehicles, watching NASCAR and spending time with family. Bill worked as a prison guard for both Lansing State Correctional Facility in Lansing, KS and Moberly Correctional Center in Moberly, MO. He also enjoyed his time driving a bus for the sports teams at Moberly Area Community College. Bill was the owner and operator of Martin's Home Repairs.

William is survived by his children, Kimberly Roberts (Dave) of Arma KS, Robin Moore (Roland) of Atchison, KS, and Louie Martin (Karri) of Atchison, KS; two stepsons, Joe Chism of Macon, MO and Robert Chism of Independence, MO; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers Robert "Bob" Martin (Kim) of Oklahoma City, OK, Phillip Marin of Leavenworth, KS; one sister, Linda Clark of Raytown, MO; and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; and a granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with burial in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Patton Funeral Home of Huntsville, MO.
