Michael Snyder Obituary
Michael S. Snyder, 72, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Genacross-Wolfcreek. Mike was born October 28, 1948 to Donald and Stephanie (Krolak) Snyder in Toledo. He attended Start High School and then Davis Business College before proudly serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Newport News from 1968-1972. Mike was a longtime member of the UAW and worked at the GM/Powertrain plant for over 30 years. When he wasn't working, Mike enjoyed watching sports, especially NASCAR, the Buckeyes, the Lions and Tiger Woods. He loved entertaining and hanging out with his friends and family.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Keith) Benedict and Melissa (Brian) Fuller. He is also survived by his step-sons, Erik (Michelle) Gingrich, Jay (Kelli) Gingrich and Kevin Gingrich; grandchildren, Teagan, Madison, Kaleb and Dylan; step-grandchildren, Andrea, Kari, Corbin and Stefan; siblings, Gloria Snyder, Monica (Greg) Ford, Don (Vicki) Snyder; sister in law, Joann Snyder; and first wife, LuAnne Ramsdell. Also, great-grandkids; nieces and nephews; cousins and many others live on to cherish his memory. Preceding him in death were his parents; beloved wife, Cindy, whom he adored; brother, Garry Snyder; and step-son, John Gingrich.
Mike's daughters would like to thank the staff at Genacross-Wolfcreek for the exceptional care Mike received.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice. Condolences for Mike's family may be expressed online at
