Michael E. Sproule

Michael E. Sproule, age 75, of Gloversville, NY, passed peacefully at Mercy House of the Southern Tier under the care of Lourdes Hospice on February 21, 2023.
Born on July 12, 1947, in Norfolk, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Hugh Sproule and Mylet Powley Sproule.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 until 1976. He was a highly decorated Vietnam war veteran and served in five combat tours in Vietnam as a helicopter door gunner. Michael was a life member of the D.A.V. and V.F.W. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, antiques, and refinishing furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Liguori Sproule; children Andrea Sproule of Otego, NY, Rachel Sproule of Albany, NY, Aaron Sproule and Trish Hodgkins of Cobleskill, NY, and Eric Sproule of Newport, NC; sister, Leslie Sproule Rowell of South Albany, VT; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and a nephew.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
