Robert Jones Obituary
Born on November 26, 1933, in Astoria, Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Edward M. Jones and Irene Gunstone Jones.
His remarkable life was characterized by dedication to his family and a keen sense of humor. He was a proud alumnus of Woodrow Wilson High School, where he graduated in 1951. After graduation, Bob's life was enriched by his marriage to the love of his life, LeeAnn Hermance Jones, on July 17, 1953-a union that was filled with joy and mutual support until LeeAnn's passing on January 12, 2014.
He is survived by his loving children, Robin Hooton (George), Renee Montillo (Joe), and Robert Jones Jr. (Kimberly); five grandchildren; brother, William Jones; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 MA at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main St. Johnstown, NY 12095. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, NY, immediately proceeding the service.
