Michael Andrew Stone

Michael Andrew Stone, age 71, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Chandler, Texas. He was born on September 11, 1953 at the home of his parents Raymond Marshall Stone and Gwendolyn Ramsey Stone near Chandler, Texas. He grew up in the Chandler and Edom area. He attended Edom Elementary and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1972. He lived in his home on the same hill on FM 279 where he was born until 2024. He then resided at Chandler Nursing Center until his passing.

Michael and Anita Louis Gregory of Tyler, Texas, fell in love in the fifth grade. They married on May 5, 1977. They were married for 43 years until her passing in February of 2020.

Michael was baptized into the fellowship of Concord Baptist Church by Rev. Marshall Williams in 1972. He remained a member of Concord his whole life. He loved going to church every Sunday. He had the pleasure of hearing Rev. Tim Liles preach at Concord Baptist the last few years of his life. His other favorite things to do were visiting his buddies and riding his bicycle every day. After Anita's passing, Michael enjoyed meeting friends at Whataburger for morning coffee and driving his red Titan truck. He retired from Walmart in Tyler, Texas, on South Broadway, on September 11, 2018, when he turned 65 years of age.

Michael is greeted in Heaven by his father, Raymond Marshall Stone; his mother, Gwendolyn Ramsey Stone; two brothers, Randall Eugene Stone and Larry Marshall Stone; his wife of 43 years, Anita Louis Stone; nephews Larry Marshall Stone, Jr. and Russell Carl Stone; and niece, Kimberly Anne Stone; and brother in law, James Henry Stephenson.

Survivors include brothers, Winford Carl Stone and wife, Sarah; Kenneth Raymond Stone and wife, Diane; sister, Mary Anna Stone Stephenson; nephew, James Caleb Lee; niece, Brooklynn Lee Migura and husband, Luke and their daughter, Gracelynn Jade Migura and their son, Kross Lee Migura; niece, Rheatia LeAnna Gandy and husband, Buckshot; niece, Rhonda Lynn Lee; niece, Kellie Anne Hickman and husband, Jack, and son, Justin and his wife and two children; niece, Cassie Gwen and husband, Jason, and their two sons, Josh and Seth; nephew, Tim Stone and son, Colton; and other nephews, nieces and cousins.

Michael Andrew Stone's celebration of life will be held at Concord Cemetery near Chandler, Texas, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Tim Liles officiating.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
